This Calaisio Rectangular Tray features woven handles and a glass bottom. With a 5-inch width, this serving tray looks elegant on a buffet table or dining table. Handwoven by artisans who work and live in the South Pacific and woven from a unique water wine, which only grow in the mountain jungles on remote islands in the South Pacific, this Calaisio Tray looks durable and luxurious on any table. Calaisio products are durable, heat resistant and elegant.

All Calaisio products are hand made by artisans, who reside and work in remote villages in the South Pacific. The vines they use to construct Calaisio items — called “vignes d’eau” or water-vines — only grow in remote mountain jungles and are very difficult to reach and challenging to harvest. However, once reaped, the vines grow back quickly, leaving no damage in their native forests. At a mere 3 millimeters in diameter — barely one-fourth as thick as typical rattan — the water-vine takes 1-7 days to hand-weave into a finished design but yields a substantially more durable, heat-resistant and elegant product.

I received this tray and was so pleased ! It is beautiful. Ordered a much larger one for my ottoman and can't wait to get that one. The tray is very well made and the glass insert adds that touch of class. Very Happy with my purchase !
