Tobacco Leaf Bread and Butter Plate is a beautiful side plate you will want to use over and over. This extravagant design was originally made in China, probably for export to the Portuguese and Brazilian markets. This was the most highly prized of all the 18th century dinner patterns. It's easy to see why, with its twenty-seven colors and 22K gold, based on an original displayed in the Metropolitan Museam of Art. Features a small phoenix bird perched on the leaves of the flowering Nicotiana (Tobacco) plant. One of Mottahedeh's most popular and longest running patterns.
