Inspired by the overlapping wooden molds used in Italy to create Parmesan and other artisan cheeses, the Lastra Aqua Handled Oval Baker has a slightly overlapping edge and finished with a dusting of brown, which represents the ash that was used to preserve these artisan cheeses.
